Cary and Pittsburg in Philadelphia

What happens when cousins visit? A whole lot of love, driving around Philadelphia, enjoying biryani, eating at Pat's Cheesesteaks, bowling (I won, yay...woohoo...cheers to me dinga chika), forgetting we had kids to watch out for, throwing jabs at each other, and whole lot of LOVE. 

Dinnu drove from Cary and Annu flew from Pittsburg. I was so happy to have them. Thank you darlings muuaahh. March 10-12th, 2017.

I'm on a path to be a minimalist....things I don't need or don't serve a purpose....things/ stuff that are just sitting in my closet, garage, work overhang cabinets....they are starting to disgust me, like repulse me...really. When that thought comes to mind, I frantically look around and clear up whatever is in front of me. My desk is pretty clear, but I opened my overhang cabinet and saw a book that was never opened, and I'm like why why do i have this....i never even opened it. 

I thought I'll atleast glance in and take a peek...as I opened it, i found "Happiness". It brought a smile to my face. I liked that it was just waiting for me to find it. 

I had a dream that I didn't think of until I was in my closet picking my work clothes, and suddenly I was too caught up that I had that dream, I  met an old friend, he and I met in this crowded place seemed like a tourist place....It was good to see him. 

BTW, I heard of a new acronym today FBBFLUIUY - this had me in splits today. Muaah....xoxoxo

A night a home

As always, tons of things come to my mind of what I should write and they all clash with each other and eventually vaporize and disappear in my land of all thoughts.

As I untangle my thoughts about what to write, the snapshot of my time  -lying down with my son in his bed, ticking him, talking to him about my goal of 10k steps a day, and finding an eloquent way to answer his question on Adam and eve – I had a great time with him.

Meanwhile my little darling Shona – I ask her to complete my sentence of – anything is possible if ….. and I look at her in anticipation that she’d guess what to say next and she says …..if you put a cake on it….

Ha ha ha…we cracked up laughing. These days she’s trying to remember her baby days…and asks me if I can think of something of her days as a baby :) she doesnt realize she's still a baby...my love.

What do you remember from your childhood days?.....

I remember being loved....not inhibited....i remember vacations...I remember my brother pampering me.... I remember riding bike to school, I remember being afraid of this kid in my school, I remember being aloof, I remember my sister being a great athlete and all rounder at school... I remember our frequent travels to nearby towns, I remember my dad's gentleness.

Worked from home on Tuesday 3/15 when Stella was paying a visit. Meanwile, Mallikarjun, a school friend shared a pic - ammi was my class teacher then. Lol...

Conscious Efforts

I drink my chai with a straw, yes, I know i'm such a dhabba for a hyderabadi...but i like that the heat of the chai is calming when i drink with a straw :) 

But i hate that I'm contributing to my carbon footprint by trashing so used straws everyday. In my efforts to reduce that i ordered myself "Reusable Glass Straws"and some dainty hankerchiefs :) 

If you are reading this my friend, please be conscious of what you throw away.
